Haplogroup L-M20

Haplogroup L is a haplogroup in human genetics of the Y chromosome.

Origin

This haplogroup is closely associated with South Asia. It has also been found in low density among populations in Central Asia, Southwest Asia, North Africa and Southern Europe along the coast of the Mediterranean. It is the subsequent haplogroup of haplogroup K (Y- DNA). It is believed that it was 30,000 years ago.
