Haplogroup K-M9

Haplogroup K is a human genetics Haplogroup of the Y chromosome. This haplogroup is from Haplogroup F ( M89 ). Their successors are L (M20 ), M ( P256 ), NO ( M214 ) (and their descendants N and O ), P ( M45 ) (and their descendants Q and R ), S ( M230 ) and T ( M70 ). The haplogroups K1, K2, K3 and K4 are found in low density only in the Indian subcontinent, in the Malay Archipelago, Oceania and Australia.

Subgroups

The subgroups of haplogroup K with their distinctive mutation:

The 2008 Stammbamm shares the haplogroup new one, in contrast to the 2006 ISOGG pedigree. The previous subgroups K2 and K5 were renamed in haplogroup T and haplogroup S. The old subgroups K1 and K7 were assigned as new Subgrupoen M2 and M3 newly designated and thus Haplogroup M (Y- DNA). The former subgroups K3, K4 and K6 were renamed K1, K2 and K3.
