Hätzingen

Hätzingen was an independent until December 31, 2003 municipality in the canton of Glarus in Switzerland. On 1 January 2004, she was united with the communities Diesbach GL and Luchsingen the new community Luchsingen.

History

Origin of the name

The name is Hätzingen Alemannic origin. This suggests a settlement around 800 to 1000 AD. As with all place names -ingen, ikon, strength, etc. It is also in Hätzingen originally around a courtyard.
