Heidi Løke

Heidi Loke ( born December 12, 1982 in Tønsberg, Norway) is a Norwegian handball player who plays for Gyori ETO KC. She was elected to the world handball player of the year 2011.

Career

In the club

After Loke initially played football, they began ten years playing handball at Sandefjord club IL Runar. In 2000, the county player Larvik HK joined. In their position, however, Loke could not prevail, so they played two years in the second team, which contested the third- highest division.

From the summer of 2002 Loke ran on for the first division Gjerpen Håndball. With Gjerpen it a year later got off in the second- highest division, but was able to celebrate the resurgence of direct one season later. With Gjerpen she took in the seasons 2005/ 06 and 2006/ 07 part in the European Cup Winners' Cup. In January 2007 it was announced her pregnancy, whereupon Loke interrupted her career. During her pregnancy her then significant Leif Gautestad took a coaching job in Aalborg. This was followed by Loke her partner and played for Danish club Aalborg DH.

After her partner was released, Loke played the 2007/08 season to end and then returned to Larvik. In the 2008 /09 season, the right-handed won the championship with Larvik and was charged with 216 goals scorer of the Norwegian Elite Series. The following season they won championship again and was again with 204 goals scorer. In the season 2010/11 Loke scored 221 goals in a season, thereby holding the league record shared with Linn -Kristin Riegelhuth Koren. Before Loke in the summer of 2011, joined the Hungarian club Gyori ETO KC, they won the championship with Larvik and the EHF Champions League. With Gyori ETO KC in 2012 she won the Hungarian Cup and 2012 and 2013 the championship. In 2013, she won with Gyori the EHF Champions League.

In the national

Heidi Loke was on 7 April 2006 her debut in the Norwegian national handball team. In the same year she was in the extended EM squad. After her pregnancy Loke took part in the 2008 European Championship. With Norway she succeeded in winning the title. A year later, she won the bronze medal at the World Championships in China. In 2010 she defended with Norway to the European title. In addition, Loke was elected to the All- Star team of the tournament. A year later, the Norwegian won the world title and was again appointed to the All- Star team. In summer 2012, Loke took part in the Olympic Games in London, where she won the gold medal. In addition, she was elected to the All- Star team of the tournament. At the European Championships in 2012, she was re-elected to the All- Star team. Here she stood with Norway in the final, which was lost to Montenegro. At the World Championships in 2013 she resigned from Norway in the quarterfinals. During the tournament they scored 21 goals in six games.

Her brother Frank and her sister Lise are also known handball player.

Heidi Loke had a relationship with the Norwegian handball coach Leif Gautestad, with whom she has a son. Once this relationship broke up in 2010, she was romantically involved with the Norwegian handball coach Karl Erik Bøhn. In December 2012, ended this relationship.
