Traffic

By Heinersreuth leads the federal highway 85, which belongs in this section for Beer and Castle Road. The community Heinersreuth requested the downgrade of the B85 to the main road. This should be implemented not only by other signs, but also by dismantling, thus reducing the road. This was controversial because narrower roadways are widened elsewhere on the B 85 to eliminate hazards. This lane closure should result in a reduction of traffic by 70%. For this, the community Heinersreuth requested the transfer of the B85 to the A 70, which was declined by the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior, because the road is classified correctly. The Ministry wrote in his reasons for the refusal, that a discharge is only possible through a bypass. For this purpose, a feasibility study has already been created. Result of this feasibility study is that a bypass on both sides is possible. Due to the 15 000 vehicles that travel daily through Heinersreuth, is to start from a high relief of the village center through a bypass.

Heinersreuth was on the railway line Bayreuth Altstadt- Kulmbach. The last train ran in 1973 by the place. Then the line was closed, the tracks were removed.

Heinersreuth lies along the popular Main Bike Trail. The Heiner Reuther are avid cyclists and put together for improved cycling routes. Unfortunately, there is a danger point when crossing the bike path at Hahnenhof, therefore, should with great personal commitment of citizens another bike path be built to give the B 85 no longer have to cross at the point of danger in Hahnenhof.
