Mistletoe is a municipality in the Upper Franconian district of Bayreuth and the seat of the administrative community Mistelbach. The community is located about seven kilometers from Bayreuth.

The community Mistelbach is divided into six districts:
- Finkenmühle
- Mistelbach
- Popp mill
- Schnörleinsmühle
- Sun Leithen
- Ticks mill
In addition there are three solitudes with proper names:

History
Mistletoe Bach was first mentioned in writing on May 4, 1125. Since 1321 the kingdom knights Mistelbach testified that became extinct in the male line in 1563. As part of the Prussian Principality of Bayreuth since 1792 Mistelbach fell in the Peace of Tilsit in 1807 and came to France in 1810 to Bavaria. Through the town led by a local train to Bayreuth Hollfeld.

Coat of arms
Blazon: " is on red background, two crossed silver knives, notched down a golden beams. " The golden beams against red background comes from the coat of arms of the former owner of the community, the Margrave of Brandenburg- Bayreuth. The silver knife remember the saints of the parish church of St. Bartholomew.
