History

The Lords of Künsberg since 1410 were in possession of the castle and the town. The Margrave of Brandenburg -Bayreuth acquired in 1668 the place. The Office of the Prussian Principality of Bayreuth since 1792 coincided with this in the Peace of Tilsit in 1807 to France and came to Bavaria in 1810. Mayor election on January 21, 2007
