HervÃ© Gaymard

Hervé Gaymard ( born May 31, 1960 in Bourg -Saint -Maurice ) is a French politician. Gaymard is the son of a small store owner, a member of the Party of the Gaullists and temporarily council member, he is married to Clara Lejeune and father of eight children as well as lovers of literature and comics.

Study

Gaymard completed his law degree at the Institut d' études politiques de Paris. He was in the final year of " Denis Diderot " School of Administration ENA.

Career

From 1986 to 1990, Gaymard study leader and professor of Public Finance and Financial Economics at the Institut d' études politiques de Paris, in the same period he was a civilian administrator in the Budget Ministry, thus responsible first. For the defense budget, then of Posts and Telecommunications He was then to 1992 Financial Attaché for the Near and Middle East at the French Embassy in Cairo before he was bureau chief from 1992 to 1993 for pension funding in Budget Ministry. Ministerial career

Parliamentary career

Gaymard in 1993 deputy for the department of Savoie, it was followed by the appointment to the government of Michel Barnier. Four years later, he became a deputy of Savoie.

From 1993 to 2002 he was a member of the Commission for Finance, Economy and Planning, 1993-1994, he was appointed Parliamentary Commissioner by Prime Minister Édouard Balladur. From 1994 to 1995 he was a member of a special commission on two draft laws on bioethics, 1998, he was a member of a special commission on a bill to the prevention of social exclusion. Gaymard is also Deputy Chairman of the Study Group on Social protection and Chairman of the Friendship Association France - Somalia and the study group France - Eritrea.

Elective offices

Gaymard 1994 Chairman of the District Council of Moutiers in the Savoie and Chairman of the Commission for Social Life of the Regional Council of Savoie. Five years later, he became chairman of the Regional Council of Savoie, he gave up the office when he was appointed to the government in 2002.
