Hola Prystan

Hola Prystan (Ukrainian Гола Пристань; Russian Голая Пристань / Golaja pristane ) is a city in the southern Ukrainian Kherson on the Konka, a tributary of the Dnieper River, with 14,000 inhabitants ( 2013).

Hola Prystan is the administrative center of the homonymous Rajons is 43 km southwest of the Oblasthauptstadt Kherson. For the municipality and the north of the city and the river Konka situated village counts Bilohrudowe (Ukrainian Білогрудове ).

The city was founded in 1709 by Cossacks, the old name was Holyj Perewis (Ukrainian Голий Перевіз ). The important as an agricultural center place was appointed in 1946 to a settlement of urban type and 1958 raised to town.
