Hradiště (Plzeň-South District)

Hradiště ( German Hradischt ) is a municipality with 264 inhabitants in the Czech Republic. It is located 10 kilometers north-west of Blatná and belongs to Okres Plzeň -jih. The land area is 1362 hectares.

Geography

Hradiště is located 492 m above sea level. M. on Hradišťský creek in a pond and hills in western Bohemia. To the east of the village lies the Nový fishpond, the largest pond in the vicinity. North of the village, the railway branch line from Třebčice goes according Blatná.

Neighboring towns are Kasejovice in the north, Lnáře in the northeast, Tchořovice in the east, Zahorčičky in the south, Nezdřev the southwest, Řesanice in the west and Polánka in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Hradiště dates from the 1227.
