Humaitá is a neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro. It is located south of the city and is located between the neighborhoods of Botafogo and Jardim Botânico.
Covering an area of 105.45 hectares living (as of 2010 ) 13,285 inhabitants. The name commemorates the Battle of Humaitá in the Triple Alliance War. As a district dedicated Humaitá exist since July 23, 1981.
