Ilya Proskuryakov

Ilya Proskuryakov Vyacheslavovich (Russian Илья Вячеславович Проскуряков; born February 21, 1987 in Magnitogorsk, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian professional ice hockey goaltender who is under contract with HK CSKA Moscow in the Kontinental Hockey League since July 2012.

Career

Ilya Proskuryakov began his career as a hockey player with the HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk, for whom he made ​​his debut in the Russian Super League in the season 2004/ 05. Previously, he had been active for the club already in the youth field. In the 2006/07 season the goalkeeper with Metallurg first time in his career Russian champion. Proskuryakov, which had accrued in his first five years in Magnitogorsk regularly for their second team in the third Russian League was in season 2008/ 09 goalkeeper Metallurgs in the newly formed Kontinental Hockey League. There he formed after the departure of Travis Scott, a duo with the White Russians Andrei Mesin. In the main round of the season Proskuryakov guarded 40 times, and nine times in the playoffs, the gate of his home club. In early February 2011 Proskuryakov was sent as part of a barter for HK CSKA Moscow, who in return received Georgi Mischarin. Proskuryakov remained only until the end of the season at CSKA and came at this time on three missions in the KHL. In July 2011 Proskuryakov was obliged by HC Traktor Chelyabinsk for a year and returned after expiry of the contract back to CSKA.

Internationally

For Russia Proskuryakov took part in the U18 World Youth Championship 2005, where he finished fifth with his team.
