Ingenried

Inge Ried is a community in the Upper Bavarian district of Weilheim -Schongau and a member of the administrative community Old Town.

Inge Ried is located in the region Oberland.

There are the following districts: Inge Ried, Ried Hutten, Erbenschwang, sink Ried, Krottenhill.

History

The former court of the monastery Steingaden came through exchange 1785 with the high court to the diocese of Augsburg. It was thus one of the Bishopric of Augsburg and St. Mang feet. Since the Imperial Diet of 1803 the place belonged to Bavaria. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria Ingenried was assigned to the Regierungsbezirk Oberbayern on 1 July 1972. Until then it was part of the administrative region of Swabia.

Population Development

On the territory of the municipality were 1970 648, 1987, 687 and 2000 counted 822 inhabitants in the year.

Culture and sights

An important cultural monument is the Catholic parish church of St. George in Ingenried.
