Japhet Kosgei

Japhet Kosgei Kipkorir ( born December 20, 1968) is a Kenyan marathon runner.

After victories at Turin and at the Venice Marathon in 1998, he won the 1999 Lisbon Half Marathon and the Rotterdam Marathon in 2:07:09 h, the tenth- fastest time of the year.

In 2000 he won the Tokyo International Women's Marathon in 2:07:15, the fourth fastest time of the year, and finished second at the New York City Marathon. He was fifth at the London Marathon, and again second in New York City in 2001.

In 2003, he won the Lake Biwa Marathon and he finished second at the Vienna City Marathon 2005. In 2006, he presented at the Belgrade Marathon with 2:10:54 the current course record and finished seventh at the Chicago Marathon. In 2007, he was ninth in 2008 and sixth at the Frankfurt Marathon, and 2010, he was ninth at the Dubai Marathon.
