Jemeppe -sur -Sambre is a municipality in the province of Namur in the Walloon region of Belgium.
It consists of the districts Jemeppe, Balâtre, Ham -sur -Sambre, Mornimont, Onoz, Saint- Martin and Spy.
In a cave between Onoz and Spy 1886 two almost completely preserved Neanderthal skeletons were found which led as a separate, different from Homo sapiens human form for the recognition of the Neanderthals.
