Jores Okore

Jores Okore (* August 11, 1992 in Abidjan ) is a Danish- Ivorian footballer who is the pro squad of the English first division club Aston Villa since 2013.

Childhood

Jores Okore came in 1992 in the Ivorian city of Abidjan to the world, but emigrated in his early childhood with his family in Denmark and grew up in the capital, Copenhagen.

Career

Association

Okore started to play football in the youth of B.93 Copenhagen. Then he went to the youth of the FC Nordsjælland. Although he still belonged to the youth team, he was appointed to the second half of the 2010/11 season in the first team. On 3 April 2011 he was a substitute just before half-time for the injured Michael Parkhurst, thus giving his professional debut in the Super Ligaen. After that, he not only played during the downtime of Parkhurst, but until the end of the season every game over the full season.

In its second year, it took until the fifth match day, until he made ​​his season debut, but after that he was again the starting eleven at. His first goal in professional football, he scored 18 September 2011, when he marked the deficit to 2-0 win in the ninth game against Brøndby IF. On June 13, 2013 Okore signed a four year contract with the English Premiere League club Aston Villa.

National

Jores Okore stood several times in the squad the Danish U-18 selection, but an application was denied him. 6 September 2011 played his first game for the U- 21 team in Denmark. In the 2-0 win over Northern Ireland, he came off the bench to start the second half for Mathias Wichmann.

On November 6, 2011 Morten Olsen Okore nominated for the cadre of senior team. Here, he replaces the injured Simon Kjær. Okore has played for the games against Finland and Sweden. Against Sweden, he came off the bench on November 11, 2011 in the 62nd minute for Andreas Bjelland. Against Finland, he played four days later for the whole 90 minutes. In 2012 he was nominated twice more for internationals. Although he did not play, he was appointed in late May in the national squad for the 2012 European Football Championship.
