Jürgen Warnke

Jürgen Franz Karl Walter Warnke ( born March 20, 1932 in Berlin, † April 27, 2013 in Klanxbüll ) was a German politician ( CSU). He worked from 1982 to 1987 and from 1989 to 1991 Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and 1987-1989 Federal Minister of Transport.

Life and career

After graduating from high school in 1950 in Hof Warnke graduated in Law and Economics in Munich, Geneva and Würzburg, which he finished with the first and 1958 with the second legal state examination. In 1958, his Doctorate in Law. with the work of the inner-party democracy and its realization in the French political parties in Friedrich August von der Heydte. He was then 1959-1962 research associate of the CSU group in the Bundestag and an assistant to Hermann Höcherl. Since 1961, he is admitted to the bar. In 1962 he was the Director of the Association of the Chemical Industry, National Association Bavaria. From 1964 to 1982 he was then chief executive of the Association of Ceramic Industry.

Jürgen Warnke was married and had six children.

Criticism

The Society for Technical Cooperation criticized that under Warnke's leadership of the Ministry of Economic Development, the Development Assistance of the Federal Republic had taken place in political terms. Political career

Since 1958, Warnke was a member of the CSU and belonged from 1962 to 1970 the Bavarian Landtag on.

From 1969 to 1998 he was a member of the German Bundestag. He was from 1969 to 1980 Chairman of the Advisory Board of the German Bundestag for trade agreements and 1980-1982 Deputy Chairman of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group.

Jürgen Warnke was since 1980 as a directly elected representative of the constituency court and before always drawn over the national list Bavaria in the Bundestag.

Public offices
