Jyrki Katainen's cabinet

The Cabinet Katainen is the 72nd government cabinet in the history of Finland. It was sworn in on 22 June 2011.

After the parliamentary elections of March 18, 2011 Jyrki Katainen formed by the conservative National Coalition Party, which emerged as the election winner, a six-party coalition of the National Coalition Party, the Social Democrats, Left Alliance, the Greens, the Swedish People's Party and the Christian Democrats. Two members of the left-wing coalition left the coalition in 2011 and were now on their own parliamentary group. The remaining twelve left left in March 2014, the coalition and the two ministers of the Left, Paavo Arhinmäki and Merja Kyllönen submitted their resignations. On April 5, 2014 Prime Minister Jyrki Katainen announced his resignation in June 2014 and thus about ten months before the expiration of the term of office.
