Karin Enström

Karin Elisabeth Enström Marta, nee Lander Holm ( born March 23, 1966 in Uppsala ) is a Swedish politician and an army officer.

Military Career

Karin Enström came in 1966 when Karin Elisabeth Lander Marta Holm to the world. After the compulsory school, she went directly to the Swedish military and studied from 1985 to 1987, the training officer for the Navy in Karlskrona. She also graduated from the Krigshögskolan the Navy in 1988 allmänna course (German Basic Course ) and 1993 högre rate (Eng. higher rate). From 1987 to 1998 she was a member of the unit stationed in Vaxholm KA1/Amf1 the Swedish Navy.

Political career

From 1991-1992 Karin Enström Secretary General of the Moderata was ungdomsförbundet, samlingspartiet the youth wing of the Moderate and worked from 1993 to 1994 as an expert in the Ministry of Industry. From 1998 she was a Member of the Swedish Parliament, while between 1998 and 2000, respectively, between 1998 and 2010 deputy member of the Constitutional Committee or the Committee on Foreign Affairs. Next it was between 2000 and 2002 substitute member of the Judiciary Committee, and between 2000 and 2006 of the Committee on Social Questions. From 2002 Enström was a member of the Defence Committee, from 2008 also its chairman. From 2010 she was a member of the War Delegation of Sweden, member of the advisory board of the outdoor departments, chairman of the Parliamentary Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs.
