Karita Bekkemellem

Karita Bekkemellem ( born January 15, 1965 in Lillehammer ) is a Norwegian manager and former politician of the Social Democratic Workers' Party ( A).

During her marriage to Jon Orheim 1994 to 2005 she was named Karita Bekkemellem Orheim. The couple has two children together. In 2007 she married rock Rosberg.

Bekkemellem from 1989 to 2009 Member of the Storting, elected Møre og Romsdal in. In the government Jens Stoltenberg I (2000-2001), she led the children's and family ministry. From 2001 to 2005 she led the A group in the churches, educational and research committee of the Parliament. Subsequently it started in the government Jens Stoltenberg II to reshuffle on 18 October 2007, the Children and Equality Ministry. From 1998 to 2007 she was also chair of the Women's Working Group within the Labour Party.

Currently Bekkemellem works as Manager of the Association Norwegian Medicines Manufacturers ( Put Middelburg industries LMI).
