Károly Gombos

Károly Gombos (born 3 October 1981) is a Hungarian biathlete and cross-country skiers.

Károly Gombos has studied viticulture and horticulture in Budapest and worked in France as winemaker. Since 2012, a holiday home in Ramsau am Dachstein. The athlete from the ski club Gyvsc debuted in 2005 as a 102 - Placed in a sprint race in Obertilliach in Biathlon European Cup. Towards the end of the season he reached in Gurnigel already a 24th place in the sprint, but in a weakly occupied competition. At the beginning of the season 2006/ 07 the Hungarian in Östersund his Biathlon World Cup debut was. When single he came to the 112th and last, in the sprint to the 114th and penultimate place. In the 2008 /09 season Gombos reached with 87 places in single and Sprint its best ever results in the World Cup. In the Biathlon World Championships 2009 in Pyeongchang the Hungarian reached the 104th place in the individual and was 95th in the sprint. Later in the year he took part in the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2009 in Oberhof, where he was in the Cross Country competitions 40th in the sprint and 38th in the pursuit, and 61 in the roller ski sprint. For the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver is Gombos could not qualify until 2011 he again took part in the World Championships in Khanty-Mansiysk and ran to the ranks 97 in singles and 109 in the sprint there. The Summer Biathlon European Championships 2011 in Martell brought the very rankings for a Hungarian biathletes 12 and 20 in the sprint in pursuit. In the Biathlon World Championships 2012 in Ruhpolding Gombos was 111 and 117 of the Single Page the sprint.

2009 Gombos occurred in sprint at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec, finishing in 81st place.
