Kirchdorf am Inn, Austria
Kirchdorf am Inn is a town in Upper Austria in the district of Ried in the Innviertel with 617 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). The municipality is located in the judicial district of Ried.
Geography
Kirchdorf am Inn is located at 335 m altitude in Innviertel. The expansion is 5.1 kilometers from north to south, from west to east 5.1 km. The total area is 14 km ². 7.1% of the area is forested, 61.4 % of the area is used for agriculture.

Coat of arms
Official description of the municipality coat of arms: humiliated by a blue, lined with silver strips wave wave beams divided; top of silver in the left half of the shield three green stages, accompanied by three red, two questions to one heraldic roses, green below. The municipality colors are green, white and red
The three red roses are from the coat of arms of the noble family of Taufkirchner who resided in Katzenberg. The wavy blue band represents the Inn, the three green steps indicate that the geographical nature of landscape levels.
History
Since the establishment of the Duchy of Bavaria, the place was Bavarian until 1779 and came to the Peace of Teschen with the Innviertel (then ' Innbaiern ') to Austria. During the Napoleonic Wars shortly Bavarian, it belongs since 1814 finally to Upper Austria. After the annexation of Austria to the German Reich on 13 March 1938, the town belonged to the " Upper Danube ". After 1945 the restoration of Upper Austria.

In 1991 the community had 620 inhabitants according to the census, in 2001 then 634 inhabitants.
