Grizzly on the armor Eurosatory exhibition

The GFF 4, formerly Grizzly, is an armored wheeled vehicle from defense companies Krauss -Maffei Wegmann, aimed at filling the gap between the ATF Dingo and the GTK Boxer. It is part of the procurement project of the Bundeswehr for protected Command and Function Vehicles ( GFF ) in the so-called class 4 ( heavily armored vehicles). A first vehicle was in November 2007 for testing at the Federal Office for Defence Technology and Procurement, now Federal Office equipment, information technology and use of the Bundeswehr delivered. Generally

The vehicle can accommodate ten soldiers and can be equipped with different equipment kits, plus it has a 20 -kilowatt generator on board. The Grizzly can be transported in the Airbus A400M. The chassis is derived from the Iveco Trakker. There are also versions with 4 × 4 and 8 × 8 possible.
