Ko Lai Chak

Ko Lai Chak (Chinese高 礼 泽, Pinyin Gao Lǐzé; born May 10, 1976 in Chancheng, China) is a native of China table tennis player from Hong Kong, who won the 2004 silver in doubles at the Olympics.

Career

Ko Lai Chak was born in China and began to play with ten years of table tennis. Soon he was part of the Chinese national team, but was there against strong competition not prevail. Therefore he used in 2000, the opportunity to play for Hong Kong, where he was sponsored by local coach Chan Kwong Wah. Ko Lai Chak is left-handed and plays in the penholder style.

Many successes have been achieved Ko Lai Chak in a double with its default partner Li Ching. With it he won at the Asian Championships in 2003 and 2005 and at the Asian Games 2006. At the Asian Championships, he reached the final twice in the Mixed, 2005 Zhang Rui and 2007 with Tie Yana.

From 2001 to 2011 he was nominated for ten world championships. He was third in 2006 and 2008 with the team from Hong Kong, 2007, he won the bronze medal in doubles. Also at the ITTF Pro Tour Grand Finals came this double from 2004 to 2007 four consecutive semi-finals. 2004 and 2008 he took part in the Olympic Games. He took Ko Lai Chak 2004 with the silver medal, the final against the Chinese Chen Qi / Ma Lin lost.

In 2007 he was obliged by the German Bundesliga Müller Würzburg.
