Korolevo

Korolevo (Ukrainian Королево; Russian Королёво / Koroljowo, rare German king box on the Tisza, Slovak Královo Tisou, Hungarian Királyháza ) is an urban-type settlement in the Western Ukraine ( Transcarpathian Oblast, Rajon Vynohradiv ) about 9 kilometers east of the city Vynohradiv.

The approximately 8,000 inhabitants place ( 20 percent Hungarian- ) is in the Transcarpathian Lowland right hand side of the south-east bank of the Tisza. Southeast of the village closest train station on the railway line Debrecen Sighetu Marmaţiei, further south branches off the railway line Batjowo - Korolevo.

History

The village was mentioned in 1262 for the first time in writing as Regalis Domus. 1910, of the Kingdom of Hungary which is in the county Ung place 3,167 inhabitants, of which 2,224 Hungarians and 932 Ruthenians. After the end of World War 1 he came to the newly created Czechoslovakia (as part of the Carpathian Ukraine) and was ceded to the end of the second world war to the USSR. In 1947, the place obtained the status of an urban-type settlement.
