Krasimir Anev

Krassimir Anew ( Bulgarian Красимир Анев; born June 16, 1987 in Samokov ) is a Bulgarian biathlete.

Krassimir Anew is coached by Diana Galewa and starts for Rilski sportis. The gym teacher from Samokov operates since 1997 Biathlon and since 2004 is the Bulgarian national team. In 2004, he debuted in Obertilliach in Biathlon European Cup for Juniors. But in 2005 he was the first time running in Windischgarsten as tenth in pursuit of the top ten. Between 2005 and 2008 he took up at four Junior World Championships. Best results were a seventh and an eighth place in the singles at the Championships in 2006 in Presque Isle and 2007 in Martell. In 2006, he ran several times to single digit ranks in the Junior European Cup. 2007 could reach as third in the sprint and second in the pursuit of Haute Maurienne first podium Anew. In Bansko he also won the title of European Junior Champion in the individual as well as silver in the pursuit behind Landertinger after a fourth medal still missed in the sprint. A fifth rank in the relay completed the good result. The following year he won in Nové Město na Moravě behind Anton Schipulin individual silver and bronze behind Schipulin and Landertinger. There are also two titles at the Junior World Championships in the summer of 2007 in Biathlon Otepaeae in the sprint and pursuit of the roller ski competitions. 2008 came in fourth in the sprint winning the bronze medal in the pursuit added.

In the adult area Anew debuted in 2006 in Östersund for the start of season 2006/07 Biathlon World Cup. In the overall classification, he finished his best season so far with five results in the points on a 67th place. To kick off the 2010/11 season Anew could improve with rank 18 with a single in Östersund his best result in an individual World Cup races again and the first time it into the top 20. To kick off the 2012/13 season he again achieved in individual Östersund with eighth place for the first time the top 10 in the World Cup.
