Kristian Vigenin

Kristian Ivanov Vigenin ( Kristian Ivanov Vigenin written, Bulgarian Кристиан Иванов Вигенин; born June 12 1975 in Sofia, Bulgaria) is a Bulgarian politician of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP ) and a member of the European Parliament. He speaks German and English nor Russian and French. Since 29 May 2013, is a Bulgarian Foreign Minister in the cabinet of Plamen Oresharski.

Since 2007 he was a deputy in the European Parliament for the Group of the Party of European Socialists, chosen from the list of Coalition for Bulgaria, which is also the BSP belongs among others. In the European elections in Bulgaria 2009 he was confirmed as a deputy.

Between 2007 and 2009 he was Deputy Chairman of the Group of the Party of European Socialists in the European Parliament.

In the period 2009-2012 Vigenin was Chairman of the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly EURO- NEST.

He was a member of the Conference of Delegation Chairs, the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Delegation to the Parliamentary Cooperation Committee EU -Ukraine. As a deputy, he was on the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety and the Delegation to the EU- Russia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee.
