La Chapelle-Rambaud
La Chapelle- Rambaud is a commune in the French department of Haute- Savoie department in the Rhône-Alpes region.
Geography
La Chapelle- Rambaud is at 942 m above sea level. M., west of La Roche- sur -Foron, about 20 km north- northeast of the town of Annecy (air line). The scattered settlement municipality extends on the high plateau of Bornes, between the Salève in the northwest and the Bornes Alps in the southeast.
The area of 4.27 km ² municipal area includes a portion of the area of the Bornes Plateau. The northern part of the area is drained by the Foron and its headwaters to the Arve. To the south, the municipality's area covers the wide, mostly of meadows lined plateau Bornes. Here is 957 m above sea level. M. reached the highest peak of La Chapelle- Rambaud. On the south is the headwaters of the Daudens flowing to Fier to the southwest.
At La Chapelle- Rambaud addition to the actual core of the church includes several hamlets settlements and farmsteads, including:
- Les Chevaliers (900 m above sea level. M. )
- La Marmotte (855 m above sea level. M. )
- Le Bois (905 m above sea level. M. )
Neighboring communities of La Chapelle- Rambaud are Pers- Jussy in the north, Etaux in the east, the south and Évires Arbusigny in the West.
Population
With 228 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) La Chapelle- Rambaud one of the smallest municipalities in the department of Haute- Savoie. In the first half of the 20th century, the population decreased continuously (1901 counted La Chapelle- Rambaud still 279 inhabitants). Since about 1960, the population remained at an almost constant level before 2000 to a significant increase occurred.
Attractions
The Village Church of La Chapelle- Rambaud has a choir from the 16th century and originating from the 17th century statue of St. Blaise.
Economy and infrastructure
La Chapelle- Rambaud is a predominantly coined by farming village today. There are also some plants of the local small business sector. Some of the working population commuters going about their work in the larger towns in the area as well as in the Geneva - Annemasse and Annecy.
The village is located off the major thoroughfares. Road connections are made with La Roche- sur -Foron, Cruseilles, Arbusigny and Évires. The nearest links to the A41 motorway is located at a distance of about 7 km.
