La Chapelle-Rambaud

La Chapelle- Rambaud is a commune in the French department of Haute- Savoie department in the Rhône-Alpes region.

Geography

La Chapelle- Rambaud is at 942 m above sea level. M., west of La Roche- sur -Foron, about 20 km north- northeast of the town of Annecy (air line). The scattered settlement municipality extends on the high plateau of Bornes, between the Salève in the northwest and the Bornes Alps in the southeast.

The area of ​​4.27 km ² municipal area includes a portion of the area of ​​the Bornes Plateau. The northern part of the area is drained by the Foron and its headwaters to the Arve. To the south, the municipality's area covers the wide, mostly of meadows lined plateau Bornes. Here is 957 m above sea level. M. reached the highest peak of La Chapelle- Rambaud. Population

With 228 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) La Chapelle- Rambaud one of the smallest municipalities in the department of Haute- Savoie. In the first half of the 20th century, the population decreased continuously (1901 counted La Chapelle- Rambaud still 279 inhabitants). Since about 1960, the population remained at an almost constant level before 2000 to a significant increase occurred.
