Ladislav Benýšek

Ladislav Benýšek ( born March 24, 1975 in Olomouc, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech professional ice hockey player who stands in February 2013 in Braehead Clan in the British Elite Ice Hockey League contract.

Career

Ladislav Benýšek began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the young field of HC Olomouc, for the first team he made his debut in the first league, the highest Czechoslovak league was in season 1992/93. He was point and impunity in three games. Then the defender was again summoned to the junior team before being selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1994 in the eleventh round when a total of 266 players from the Edmonton Oilers, for whom he never played, however. Instead, he ran in the 1994/95 season for their farm team, the Cape Breton Oilers in the American Hockey League on. He then returned to his Czech homeland, where he stood respectively for one and a half years at his former club HC Olomouc and HC Sparta Prague under contract. With the Brussels residents in 2000 he won the national championship for the first time and in the same year reached the second place in the European Hockey League.

On 23 June 2000 Benýšek was selected in the NHL Expansion Draft by the newly formed Minnesota Wild, where he had a regular place in the next three years. The 2002/03 season he finished with their AHL farm team Houston Aeros, with whom he won the Calder Cup. Following this season, the former national players moved to HIFK Helsinki in the Finnish SM- liiga. The seasons 2004/ 05 and 2005/ 06 began the Czech respectively in the Finnish capital with HIFK and finished it in Leksand IF, first in the HockeyAllsvenskan and after the rise with the Swedes in 2006 in the Elitserien. For the 2006/07 season he signed again with the HC Sparta Prague, with whom he was champion for the second time.

The season 2007/ 08 spent Benýšek at the Dragons de Rouen from the French Ligue Magnus, with whom he won the domestic double French Champion and Coupe de la Ligue. Only in the final of the Coupe de France, the team defeated the Brûleurs de Loups de Grenoble. He then accepted the offer by the Totempo HvIK from the Danish AL-Bank Ligaen, for which he also played for a year. For the 2009/10 season he signed for SHC Fassa in the Italian Serie A1. For the following season, he moved within the series A1 to Asiago Hockey.

In early December 2011, the Czech was taken from the SV Kaltern from the series A2 under contract. End of January 2012, he was obliged by HC Valpellice in which Benýšek finished the season 2011/12. Once he was a few months without a club, followed in February 2013, a commitment to the Braehead Clan in the British Elite Ice Hockey League.

For Benýšek Czech Republic took part in the World Championships 1997, 1999 and 2000.
