Lajos Czeizler

Lajos Czeizler ( born October 5, 1893 in Heves, Austria - Hungary, † May 6, 1969 ) was a Hungarian football coach. With a total of eleven titles, he is one of the most successful in his field.

Career

Lajos Czeizler began his coaching career in the late 1920s in Italy, where he coached the second division teams of Udinese and CA Faenza and the youth of Lazio.

He had his greatest success in Sweden, when he won the Cup with IFK Norrköping five times (1943, 1945, 1946, 1947, 1948) and the championship in 1943 and 1945, twice. When he led to the championship in 1948 Norrköping, he was 54 years, eight months and one day old, and thus reached the oldest coach of this item. A record that still exists today.

After his time in Sweden Czeizler returned to Italy, where in 1951 he led to the championship AC Milan. From 1953 on, he coached the Italian national team, which he also accompanied by the 1954 World Cup in Switzerland.

1961 Czeizler won another title in Italy, when he defeated with Fiorentina in the cup final Lazio 2-0.

In the season 1963/64, he led Benfica to the double of the league and cup in Portugal.
