Lanaudière
Lanaudière is an administrative region (French région administrative ) south of the Canadian province of Quebec. It is further in six regional county municipalities ( municipalites Clarisse de comté ) and 72 municipalities, Reserves, and unincorporated areas divided. Seat of administration is Joliette.
The population is 469 916 (2011), the land area of 12,313.3 km ², which corresponds to a population density of 38.2 inhabitants per km ². 98.8 % of residents speak French and 0.7 % English as the main language.
In the north and east borders the Lanaudière Mauricie administrative region, on the southeast by Centre-du -Québec, to the south Montérégie, to the southwest by Laval and Montreal, on the west by Laurentides.
