The Lausanne Hockey Club is a Swiss ice hockey club from Lausanne in the canton of Vaud. The club was founded in 1922 and has been increasing since the 2013/14 season, participated in the National League A.

History

The Lausanne Hockey Club was founded in 1922 and is one of the oldest clubs in Switzerland. During the first 16 years of existence, the team played in Le Chalet-à- Gobet and moved afterwards to Montchoisi where it merged in 1941 with the Star HC to Montchoisi Hockey Club. On November 6, 1949, came finally to the official, existing to this day, names Lausanne Hockey Club, with whom she went to the National League at the start. Although she never won a championship, the club was one of the most successful of its time. Numerous second places went to this. After descending into the National League B in 1954 followed three years later, the re-emergence up to the year 1961 when the crew descended again. The next 17 years were spent in the second highest class, before they reached the front of 7'000 spectators rise against HC Davos on 18 February 1978. Three more seasons played Lausanne notch, before 1981, the descent into the NLB and 1984 even the round had to be commenced in the third division. 2001 dominated the LHC the league champion was the second highest league and entered again into the top class. There, the team played until 2005 always in the lower field the league and were relegated after the 2004/ 05 season. In the season 2008/ 09 was the Lausanne Hockey Club for a fifth time NLB master, but failed in the League qualifying National League A at EHC Biel.

In the 2012/13 season the club achieved promotion to the NLA, after he had conquered the SCL Tigers in the League qualification with a 4-2 win. In the following season 2013/14 of the Lausanne HC managed, which had been traded before the season as relegation number one sensational qualifying for the playoffs, thanks mainly to the excellent defensive work. The home games of the Lausanne Hockey Club are ( officially Centre Intercommunal de Glace de Malley, CIG de Malley short or cIgM German ice rink Malley ) has been held since 1984 in Patinoire de Malley. It has an official capacity of 9,500 spectators, who, however, can be extended at the hockey games on up to 10,300 seats.
