Liberal Democratic Party (Serbia)

The Liberal Democratic Party ( Serbian: Либерално - демократска партија, Liberalno - Demokratska partija ) is a company incorporated on November 5, 2005 Serbian Party, whose chairman is Čedomir Jovanović.

Substantive Profile

The strictly pro-Western oriented party accepts only one of the parties represented in the Parliament of Serbia, Kosovo's independence. It is also an observer at Liberal International and the ELDR.

History

In the parliamentary elections in Serbia in 2007, she received along with several smaller organizations with which the LDP had taken a list alliance, 5.31 percent of the votes cast. The Alliance was able to win 15 seats in the Serbian parliament, of which 6 accounted for the LDP. In April 2007, the hitherto independent GSS (Citizens Union of Serbia ) joined the LDP, making these now more than 9 seats in Parliament.

The held 11 May 2008 parliamentary elections, the party won 5.24% of the vote and 13 seats in parliament.
