Lichterfeld-Schacksdorf

Lights -Schacksdorf is a municipality in the Elbe -Elster in Brandenburg ( Germany ) and belongs to the Office Small Magpie ( Lower) with seat in the municipality mass Lower Lusatia. It was created only on 31 December 1997 by the merger of the previously independent municipalities field lights and Schacksdorf.

Geography

The municipality is located southeast of the core city of Finsterwalde. It is bordered on the north by the municipality of mass Lower Lusatia, in the east on the community Sallgast, in the south at a short distance to the municipality and Schipkau and Lauchhammer and to the west by the city Finsterwalde. Almost completely located on the southern part of the district of lights for the emerging field Bergheider lake.

History

The community lights -Schacksdorf was on 31 December 1997 from the voluntary merger of the previously independent municipalities field lights and Schacksdorf. On 31 December 1998 the municipality Lieskau was incorporated.

The council is composed of 10 city councils and municipal councils (all from the WG LSL ) and the non-executive mayor together.

Culture and sights

In the list of monuments in lights -Schacksdorf are registered in the list of monuments of the country Brandenburg monuments.

The Visitor Mine overburden conveyor bridge F60, an abandoned conveyor bridge on Bergheider lake in the district of lights field, is now an open air museum with a regional reputation. Through concerts and various sound and light installations, the plant is a tourist attraction.
