Geography

Geographical location

Linda is located in Ronneburger agricultural and mining area. The municipal area is predominantly used for agriculture, only in the south are smaller forest areas and a water tank, which drains to the fox creek back and forth to the White Elster. On the northern edge of the community Wipse, the springs near the municipal boundary in stops blinking and opens at Gera - Liebschwitz in the magpie runs. History

The first mention of Linda took place in 1307 in a document of the monastery Cronschwitz. In April 1640, Swedish troops burned ten houses, in 1865 there was a cholera epidemic. Mayor
