Geographical location

The community Paitzdorf lies about 15 km east of Gera in Ronneburger arable land and mining area. Northeast of the village core was the mining operation Paitzdorf the Wismut. History

On April 13, 1290 Paitzdorf was first mentioned. Legally, the patron saint of the village church in 1302 by Henry I, Vogt von Plauen was assigned to the monastery Cronschwitz.
