Lisburn City Council

Lisburn ( Lios na gCearrbhach Irish ) is one of the 26 Districts in Northern Ireland. The District, whose territory lies in the traditional counties of Antrim and Down, was established in 1973. Significant places in the District are the city of Lisburn, which is also the administrative center, and Aghalee, Dunmurry, Drumbo, Dromara, Glenavy, Hillsborough, Moira and Maghaberry.

As the city Lisburn has the status of a city, the managing authority of the entire district is named Lisburn City Council.
