The number-one hits of the music industry in the Netherlands are determined by Radio 538 (formerly Radio Veronica ). As a benchmark the sales of singles and airplay data is valid.

The first single charts in the Netherlands was published on January 2, 1965. Since then, there have been more than 600 number-one hits, most of them (over 500 ) in English and Dutch (80 October 2007 ).
