List of publications during the Boekenweek

The Boekenweekgeschenk (Dutch: Books Week Gift ) is an annual edition in connection with the Boekenweek, the Dutch Book week. The book will be awarded during the week books of Dutch booksellers free of charge to customers who have spent a certain minimum amount in their business (2010: purchases from € 12,50 ).

Usually it is a short story that is written specifically for the books a week.

The respective author is chief guest of the Boekenbal (books Balls ), with which the Book week is opened. On Sunday, the week, the books Boekenweekgeschenk considered as a network card for the Dutch railway network.

The tradition goes back to 1930, which is at that time these were not a work of fiction, but an anniversary book of the Publishers Association Nederlandse Uitgeversbond.
