Lobet Gott in seinen Reichen, BWV 11

Praise God in his rich ( " Ascension Oratorio ", BWV 11, D major ) is an oratorio by Johann Sebastian Bach, which is probably created in 1735. Probably Picander the librettist. The work was in the old Bach Complete Edition (BG) still classified at the cantatas (hence the small BWV number), in Bach Compendium, marked number BC D 9 and is assigned to logical oratories because of its genus, as it is a biblical act as the basis has to be carried forward from an evangelist and other persons in the recitatives. The two-part work consists of eleven movements ( about half an hour Duration ) and was referred to by the composer as " Oratory In Festo Ascensionis ".
