London Metropolitan University

The London Metropolitan University ( London Met informally ) is a university in London. The university with about 26,000 students has two campuses: the City campus in the heart of the City of London and the North Campus in Islington. It consists in its present form since 2002, when the London Guildhall University (founded 1848) and the University of North London (founded 1896) merged.

The eight faculties at the University offer with degree programs in the fields of humanities, education, law and social sciences, medicine and natural sciences a very broad spectrum. One focus of the courses offered is in the range of economics. These modules are offered at the London Metropolitan Business School, headquartered in the financial district of London.

A building on the North Campus was designed by world -renowned architect Daniel Libeskind and forms since its completion in 2004, an architectural highlight of the district of Islington.
