Lothar Geisler

Lothar Geisler ( born December 8, 1936 in Dortmund ) is a former German football player. He graduated from 1957 to 1963 in the then world-class soccer Oberliga West in the clubs VfL Bochum ( 1957-1959 ) and Borussia Dortmund ( 1959-1963 ) a total of 115 league games, scoring two goals as a defender. Career

Amateur Oberliga West and, until 1963

Geisler began at the age of 12 years in 1948 to play football as a goalkeeper in the second youth team of VfL Kemminghausen. After two years he transferred in 1950 to the second youth team of TuS Eving - Lindenhorst where he was, however, no longer used as a goalkeeper but as a center half. After he had his time, finished in the A- Youth, with whom he repeatedly won the " Fredenbaum Cup," he was employed in the first team of TuS in the national league.
