Lukáš Hlava

Lukáš Hlava ( born September 10, 1984 in Turnov ) is a Czech ski jumper.

Career

Hlava made ​​his debut at an international ski jumping competition at the Junior World Championships in 2002 and finished in Schonach there a 31st place. After several starts in the Continental Cup (COC ), where he mostly missed the second round, he could start in the World Cup on 11 January 2003 on the national squad for the first time. Although he there, as well as in his second World Cup start in early February at the ski flying event at Kulm, ended up just bringing up the rear, he was appointed to the Czech team for the 2003 Nordic World Ski Championships in Val di Fiemme. After he was not prepared when jumping from the normal hill, he could reach the large hill a 44th and was on the following day for the Czech squad in the team competition. After the World Cup he took sporadically participated in the World Cup and Grand Prix Jumping, could never reach the second round here. He returned in early 2004 back in the COC, where he again regularly took part in competitions. Although he brought only mediocre performances here, he participated in the Ski Flying World Championships 2004 in Planica part, but different from 47th after the first of four scoring passes. Subsequently, he joined the rest of the season 2003/ 04 and in the two following seasons only in the Continental Cup, but was again at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2005 in Oberstdorf in the Czech team. Then Hlava went to for a long time only in the COC and got only again in the 2006/ 07 World Cup a few missions. When ski flying on the Vikersundbakken he could win this World Cup points on 13 January 2007 with 27 rank for the first time. Shortly after, on 25 February, he celebrated his first victory in Oberhof in a Continentalcupspringen. After being shuttled in the summer competitions in 2007 between Grand Prix and COC, he started at the beginning of the winter season 2007/ 08 again in the World Cup. After being there but never reached the second round or not even qualified for the competition, he moved back into the Continental Cup. Only in the Czech Republic takes place in jumping he got World Cup bets on the national group. With the start of the 2009/10 season he is firmly back to the Czech World Cup team.

At the Olympic Winter Games 2010 in Vancouver Hlava difference in jumping on the normal hill as 38 points with Jernej Damjan after 1 passage out. When Epiphany jumping in the Four Hills Tournament Hlava crashed on 6 January 2012 and suffered a broken nose open. On 4 March 2012, he was on the Salpausselkä normal hill jumping had been relocated there due to heavy winds from the large hill in Lahti, Finland Bardal behind Daiki Ito and other third parties, and thus achieved the first podium finish at a Weltcaupspringen. In the Czech championships on 1 September 2012 from the normal hill in FRENŠTÁT pod Radhoštěm he was able to win its first national championship.
