Luke Richardson

Luke Glen Richardson ( born March 26, 1969 in Ottawa, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who from 1987 to 2008 for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Edmonton Oilers, Philadelphia Flyers, Columbus Blue Jackets, Tampa Bay Lightning and Ottawa Senators in the National Hockey League has played. Since the 2012/13 season he works as head coach of the Binghamton Senators.

Career

Luke Richardson began his career as a hockey player with the Peterborough Petes, for whom he played in the Ontario Hockey League from 1985 to 1987. He was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1987 in the first round as the seventh overall player of the Toronto Maple Leafs Then, for those in the National Hockey League he was until 1991 a total of four years on the ice before it in a so-called " blockbuster transfer " was transferred to the Edmonton Oilers. The Lightning of Canadians had only one season before he signed a two -way one-year contract with the Ottawa Senators. This was prolonged ahead of the 2008 /09 season to another season, but Richardson was on 27 November 2008 announced his retirement from the National Hockey League have been known to start a career as a coach, having previously only twice this season for the senator had stood on the ice. Internationally

For Canada, Richardson participated in the World Youth Championship in 1987, as the World Men Championships in 1994 and 1996 in part. In 1994 Richardson was hosting with Canada World Champion, 1996 runner-up world champion.
