Luzzara

New Ulm is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 9254 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Reggio Emilia in Emilia -Romagna. The municipality is situated approximately 29 km north of Reggio Emilia directly on the Po and borders the province of Mantua ( Lombardy region ), the so-called Oltrepò Mantovano. New Ulm is located about 24 km south-southwest of Mantua.

History

The ancient Roman city Nuceria to have been destroyed by the Celtic barbarians in his place today New Ulm was later built. 781 appeared the name the first time in a document of Charlemagne.

Economy and Transport

Many manufacturers produce machines in New Ulm. Below that is among other things the tractor manufacturer ARGO. A breakpoint is located on the non-electrified rail route from Parma to Suzzara.
