M27 highway (Russia)

The A147 is a trunk road in Russia. It leads from the settlement Dschubga northwest of Tuapse more than 200 km along the coast of the Black Sea to the Georgian ( Abkhazian ) limit. It is part of the European route 97

At the time of the Soviet Union led the street as M27 continue on Tbilisi, capital of the former Georgian SSR, Baku, capital of Azerbaijan SSR. Until the 1990s belonged within Russia and the portion of the settlement Abrau- Djurso at Novorossiysk along the Black Sea coast to Dschubga the M27. Was upgraded but when expanded the earlier A147 from Krasnodar on the Caucasus main ridge Dschubga and over Krasnodar addition, extended M4, also of the 114 km section Dschubga came - Novorossiysk to the M4. 2010 was awarded the vacant number A147 the remaining section of the M27. The number M27 can still be used until 31 December 2017 as an alternative.
