Ma Qinghua

Ma Qinghua ( born December 25, 1987 in Shanghai) is a Chinese automobile racing driver.

Career

Ma began his motorsport career in 2005 in the Asian Formula Renault Challenge. In addition, he made his debut in Europe in the Italian Formula 3000th For Team Astro Mega he took part in the season finale of the Championship and reached the 27th place overall. In early 2006, Ma took part for the Chinese A1GP team at the season finale. In the further course of the year, Ma took up to six races of the North European Formula Renault, finishing in 25th place overall.

After a one year break Ma rose in 2008 for the fourth race weekend of the Spanish Formula 3 Championship for Team West -Tec in the series one. With three points standings Ma finished the season in 18th place in the championship. In 2009, Ma for Team West -Tec only one race weekend of the British Formula 3 Championship and took part in the tenth place in the national class. 2010 started Ma for Team China at the Super League Formula race weekend in Ordos. 2011 Ma occurred in the Chinese Touring Car Championship in touring car racing. He won the 1600cc class.

In 2012 he was admitted to the funding of the Formula 1 team HRT. In this role, Ma came in four Friday practice of the Formula 1 2012 season to use. He made his debut at the Grand Prix of Italy. Ma became the first Chinese man who was driving a Formula 1 car in a Grand Prix weekend. After HRT had set on racing at the end of the 2012 season, Ma moved to Caterham. He should attend for the team in 2013 at the GP2 series as a regular driver, but was replaced after the first event by Alexander Rossi. At the season opener, he had the sprint race from illness. In addition, he is a test driver in Formula 1 racing.
