Alexander Rossi (racing driver)

Alexander Rossi ( born September 25, 1991 Auburn ) is an American race car driver. He joined in 2011 and 2012 in the Formula Renault 3.5. Since 2013 he start in the GP2 series.

Career

Once Rossi had started his career in karting, in 2005 he moved to Formula racing in the Skip Barber Western Regional Series, which he won a year later with eight victories in twelve races. He also finished third in the National Skip Barber Championship and seventh in the Formula TR Pro Series FR 1600. 2007 he moved to the Formula BMW USA. After he was third in his debut season, a year later won the championship. He won ten of 15 races. 2009 saw Rossi to Europe in the International Formula Master. With three wins, he finished at the end of season fourth overall. In the season 2009/2010 GP2 Asia Series Rossi initially received a cockpit at Ocean Racing Technology. After just one race weekend, he joined the Malaysian Meritus team.
