Trident Racing

Trident Racing is an Italian motor racing team. Since its founding in 2006 Trident is active in the GP2 series. Since 2008, moreover, it is still represented in the GP2 Asia Series and the International Formula Master. Trident Racing has its headquarters in San Pietro Mosezzo. Team principal and owner of Trident Racing is the music producer Maurizio Salvadori.

Trident Racing in the GP2 Series

Season 2006

One year after the founding of Trident Racing GP2 Series got in for the 2006 season. As a driver, former Formula 1 driver Gianmaria Bruni and Andreas Zuber were committed. Bruni won the feature race at Imola and Hockenheim, Zuber scored a victory in the sprint race at Istanbul. At the end of the season Bruni finished seventh overall and making the 14th place overall; in the team standings, the team took sixth place. The 2006 season is the most successful season to the team's history.

Season 2007

For the second year in GP2 Trident Racing undertook the Venezuelan Pastor Maldonado and the Japanese Kohei Hirate. Maldonado succeeded in Monte Carlo a prestigious win for Trident Racing. In the rest of the season achieved both Hirate, and Maldonado a second place. Due to a broken collarbone Maldonado have to prematurely terminate its by then well runny season. He was represented by Ricardo Risatti and Sergio Hernández in the last race of the season. Best Trident Racing driver in the standings was Maldonado with eleventh place. Behind Hirate followed at number 19, number 28 and Risatti Hernández on 36th place in the team standings, the team finished tenth.

Season 2008

2008 Trident Racing also went in the first season of the GP2 Asia Series at the start. As a driver, the Latvian Harald Schlegelmilch and the Chinese Ho -Pin Tung were committed. The best team placement reached Schlegelmilch, who was fifth in Sachir. In the overall standings Schlegelmilch finished 18th and the 21th Tung place overall. Although both drivers picked points, the team was only 13 and therefore last in the overall standings.

In the European GP2 Series 2008 Tung stayed with Trident Racing. When his team-mate Briton Mike Conway has been committed. In Monte Carlo Trident Racing on trumped again, bringing with Conway at number one and stays in second place the first double victory for Trident Racing. In the rest of the season, the pilots were mostly unremarkable. In the overall standings Conway was twelfth, Tung 18 and the Trident Racing finished second in the team standings to ninth place overall.

Season 2009

Trident Racing started again in the GP2 Asia Series. In the 2008/2009 season, the team with Frankie Provenzano, Giacomo Ricci, Davide Rigon, Ricardo Teixeira, Alberto Valerio, Adrián Vallés and Chris van der Drift sat a total of seven pilots. With Rigon, the team sought at the last race in Sachir with a third place is the best season placement. In the overall standings Rigon finished in 17th place, van der Drift was 18, the other Trident pilots drove a no points. In the team standings Trident Racing finished ninth.

Trident Racing in the International Formula Master

Since 2008, Trident Racing is also active in the International Formula Master. In the first season, the team were Michael Ammer Müller and Harald Schlegelmilch began. Best Trident driver was Michael Ammer Muller, who took third place in the overall standings, but did not contest the full season for Trident Racing. 2009 goes Frankie Provenzano, who was active for the team already in the GP2 Asia Series, in the International Formula Master at the start.
