Jimmy Eriksson

Joakim "Jimmy" Eriksson (born 14 March 1991 Tomelilla ) is a Swedish racing driver. He won the 2012 German Formula 3 Since 2013 he takes in the GP3 Series.

Career

Eriksson began his motorsport career in karting in 2005 and remained active until 2008 in this sport. Among other things, he won the 2008 Swedish Formula Yamaha Kart Championship. In 2009 he moved to the Formula racing Moto Park Academy. His main focus was on the North European Formula Renault, where he finished 15th overall with a win. He also competed for his team at each race of the Formula Renault 2.0 Euro Cup and in the Swedish and NEZ Formula Renault.

Eriksson 2010 entered for Moto Park Academy in the German Formula 3 Cup. Eriksson drove in some races in the points and chose a race for themselves. The season he finished in sixth place in the championship. He also started on a race weekend as a guest driver in the Formula 3 Euro Series. 2011 moved Eriksson completely in the Formula 3 Euro Series and remained at Moto Park Academy. As the best pilot of his achievements, he was ninth in the drivers' standings. 2012 Eriksson returned back to the German Formula 3 Cup. He started to continue for Moto Park Academy, which used the name Lotus in this series. Eriksson won eight of 27 races and has 408 to 298 master before Lucas Auer.

2013 moved to Eriksson Status Grand Prix in the GP3 Series. He stood in contrast to his teammates Adderly Fong and Alexander Sims with no points and finished the season on em from 24 overall. 2014 remained Eriksson in the GP3 Series. Originally he was supposed to return to Moto Park Academy, which should start under the name Russian time in this series. After the death of Igor Mazepa, the Seat Holder of Russian Time, Moto Park Academy but lost the contract to carry out this commitment, so that Ericsson's contract was obsolete. He joined then to Koiranen GP.
